A weak cold front will slowly move across Southeast Texas today, bringing rain chances over the area through Saturday. An isolated concern with excessive rain can’t be totally ruled out yet, particularly over the Brazos Valley and Piney Woods region.

We will once again have the potential for some heavy rainfall ahead and along the cold front. On Sunday, there is a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 4) of Excessive Rainfall for the Brazos Valley and Piney Woods region. On Monday, there is a Slight Risk (level 2 of 4) of Excessive Rainfall for the Piney Woods region and a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 4) for the rest of Southeast Texas.
