Glen Trahan
Battalion Chief of TrainingGlen Trahan started in the fire service with the City of LaPorte Volunteer Fire Department in February 1998. He went to San Jacinto Community College for his TCFP and EMT-Basic Certification Academies and joined the Port of Houston Authority Marine Fire Department in May 1999. He stayed with LaPorte VFD until he joined the Plantersville/Stoneham Volunteer Fire Department. Later he joined the Tri County Volunteer Fire Department.
Chief Trahan was hired by West I-10 Volunteer Fire Department as their Training Captain in March 2015 and transitioned to Harris County ESD 48 in August 2015.
Chief Trahan has been married to his wife, Chelsea, for more than 20 years and together they have 5 children. In addition to his work in the fire service, Chief Trahan volunteers for his church and with the Boy Scouts of America.
