Harris County Emergency Service District No. 48 Responds to Medical Call with Partner Agencies

HCESD 48

On January 9, 2026 at approximately 9:30am, Harris County Emergency Service District No. 48 (HCESD 48)’s ladder and medic units were dispatched to a medical emergency at the intersection of Katy Freeway and Greenhouse Road.

HCESD 48 units were able to provide support to the Harris County Constable’s and Sheriff’s Office. Once the scene was secured by law enforcement, HCESD 48 medical personnel were able to rendered care to the patient. The patient was safely transported to a local area hospital without incident.

This response highlights the importance of strong interagency coordination and the commitment of first responders to seamless and compassionate care. HCESD 48 remains committed to providing excellent community service through all-hazard emergency response and preventive services, with the goal of enhancing the life, health, and safety of everyone we serve. Every call is an opportunity to demonstrate our dedication to our neighbors and to the partnerships that keep our community strong.
